Jim Grundy- Founder / Owner
Jim Grundy founded Sisu Energy on October 2, 2019, in Fort Worth, Texas, with a mission to empower the often-overlooked owner-operator in the trucking industry.
Jim began his career in Supply Chain in 2007 with JB Hunt, managing major accounts like Whirlpool and Amazon. He later joined TMW Systems as an Implementation Manager, where he recognized the untapped potential of technology in logistics. In 2012, he joined Halliburton, managing Supply Chain operations in the Northeast, before returning to Texas in 2014 as Director at 1845 Oilfield Services.
Inspired by the idea of creating a platform for owner-operators, Jim spent years developing the concept that would become Sisu Energy—now one of the largest pneumatic carriers in the oil industry. The company thrives on innovation, smart tech, and a core philosophy of Pay, Promote, Praise (PPP).
Sisu Energy and Jim have been featured nationally on Fox News, Tucker Carlson, CBS, NBC, ABC, and more for their unique, owner-operator-first approach to trucking—turning the “forgotten” into the forefront.
Marina Grundy- Founder / Owner
Marina Grundy– Co-founder of Sisu Energy on October 2, 2019, in Fort Worth, Texas, with a mission to empower the often-overlooked owner-operator in the trucking industry.
Powered by her MBA from UNT (North Texas) and undergraduate degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA, Marina began her career in Supply Chain working for powerhouses like UPS, Halliburton, FedEx, Lhoist before joining Sisu Energy.
Since inception, Marina and Jim have grown Sisu Energy into one of the largest, owner-operator based transportation companies in the South West.
Sisu Energy has been featured nationally on Fox News, Tucker Carlson, CBS, NBC, ABC, and more for their unique, owner-operator-first approach to trucking. With new opportunities in St. Louis, Ohio, South Texas, West Texas, and more.. the future looks even brighter.
Forbes Scott- Vice President of Operations
Forbes Scott joined Sisu in August of 2023 as Director of Business Development.
In May of 2025 he was promoted to Vice President of Operations, overseeing the operational strategy ensuring seamless coordination between business development, owner‑operator partners, and internal dispatch teams.
Forbes has 15 years in logistics and energy experience. Forbes earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado and resides in Fort Worth, TX.
Don Washburn- CFO
Don joined the SISU team in February 2023 as their Chief Financial Officer.
Don has 40 years of experience in financial reporting across various businesses in the Oil and Gas Industry. Don has owned a number of Oilfield Service companies serving as both the President and CFO.
Don earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Lubbock Christian University.
In his spare time, Don enjoys travelling and spending time with his 3 grandchildren.
